Obviously, many of us watched the Met Gala’s red carpet last night as it streamed live online for the first time in its existence. Needless to say it was a stone gas indeed. Of course, everyone is (still) talking about Beyonce in Givenchy. Was she stunning? Yes. Was she killing it on the carpet? Of course. Was she best dressed? Meh. Before I am killed by the daggers that diehard Beyonce stans tend to throw over such statements, here is RiaRob’s list for Best Dressed:

1. January Jones in Atelier Versace. Those Cartier jewels are THE. BUSINESS.

2. Paula Patton in Vera Wang. Paula Patton is a gorgeous woman and has been tearing up every red carpet that she has been on, especially the ones that MATTER.

3. Carey Mulligan in Prada. Let me be more specific: CUSTOM PRADA. The married life (Mulligan stepped out with her new hubby for this event) and this frock had her living the golden life indeed.

4. Amber Heard in Zac Posen. She seemed very comfortable in such a formal gown. It really showed.

5. Nina Dobrev in Donna Karan. Dobrev has worn the designer for many of her red carpet events (remember that pretty red gown from the 2011 Emmys?), but this is absolutely beautiful. Great for this occasion…
