View From The Top-International Edition: Love Mexico (Official Day Two – Part II)

Back at the Brasserie, we were greeted like royalty. Great food, fun, and fellowship awaited:

11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – We are ushered into the Palace Brasserie and given some of the most delectable cuisine imaginable. The appetizer: lobster cappuccino, consisting of a yummy lobster bisque (complete with large lobster chunks) and a dollop of cream. Unexpected presentation and very delicious results. It is followed by the main course: grouper topped with shrimp accompanied with a satisfying dessert.

Lobster cappuccino (very creative presentation)

The Main Course

The Dessert...Translation: blissful

The artwork around the restaurant was so beautiful. Sleek but sweeping statues of women.

1:30 p .m. – We waddle back to our rooms, change into our beach gear and head back to that beautiful soft sand.

2: 45 p.m. – We are all having a good time, when a representative from the resort spa comes over and offers 50% off of a massage on the beach. Mind you, there are six of us. So they offer to take us all at once at the Body Light Spa. Um uh ruh…you don’t have to tell this crew twice. Hence…

3:30 p.m. we pit our things backs in our rooms, meet back and walk down to the BodyLight Spa, which is way on the other side of the resort. The walk was great, weather was gorgeous. Upon arrival, we all fill out the necessary paperwork, change into our spa robes and we commemorate our group spa excursion with a flick…

4:30 p.m. We drag ourselves away from the BodyLight Spa. Noodle-legged and very calm. We stroll happily back to La Hacienda. Only to find that it is closed. The next best thing:

The buffet across the way!

6:00 p.m – We REALLY waddle back to our respective rooms to nap, change, and prepare for the official Love Mexico after party, which Linnyette is hosting. Translation: par-tay!

Stay tuned for official coverage from CALIENTE: The Official Love Mexico After Party.
