RiaRob Recollects – The Aftermath: Haiti

Aftermath \ˈaf-tərmath\
Function: noun
Definition: the period immediately following a usually ruinous event.

That said, my next few posts will set the record straight. RiaRob style…

The Aftermath – Part One:

http://www.jimaniproject.org/Haiti%20Flag.jpg

I start this with one word: HAITI.
Maybe two words: NEVER FORGET.
Three words may do: DO YOUR PART.
Four words just so you know: WE MUST DO MORE.
Five words to leave you thinking: WHAT IF IT WERE US?

With two benefit concerts and scores of events with millions in proceeds “benefiting” Haiti, along with a “rendition” of We Are the World, my fear is that Haiti will become another news cliché, complete with bullshit phony sympathy and blatant disregard. So I must inquire: What will YOU do?

Rise above…

Bay kou bliye, pote mak sonje (The giver of the blow forgets, the bearer of the scar remembers).
