You are about to witness a powerful culmination of love, life, spirituality, and triumph all in the name of sisterhood, while being a victorious woman.

RiaRob is back and so humbled to participate in the official launch of the amazing book, Victorious Living for Women, Living a Life of Victory (SuberPullins, 2009). I am also here as a proud supporter of my good friend and fellow writer on the move, Joy Turner, as she is a contributing writer to this fabulous anthology of powerful women of the pen, revealing personal revelations that allow them to live a victorious life.

Contributing author Lorraine Williams kicks off the event with affirmations

4:43 p.m. Before guests are slated to arrive. I am seated in the lobby area surrounded by women of different colors, shapes, sizes, and awesome hairstyles. The common thread is that each woman is dressed in black with a gorgeous flowers pinned on. An author stands before everyone and prepares the authors with confirmations and affirmations. RiaRob’s most notable: “I am not moved by what I see.” Another notable: “With Jesus, I am afraid of no one and nothing.” Powerful. RiaRob is moved already…

4:47 p.m. Jamar Suber, one half of SuberPullins Publishing, announces that each author will not be getting the five books as previously promised. They are getting four…because they are getting a copy for themselves RIGHT NOW. The ladies shout in approval.

4:52 p.m. Cheryl Pullins, the other half of SuberPullins Publishing announces that the City of Baltimore has sent a certificate of recognition for the event, signed by Mayor Sheila Dixon. Go ‘head ladies, RiaRob is thoroughly impressed.

4:53 p.m. Cheryl also announces that yours truly was the 1,000th fan to register with the Victorious Living Fan Page on Facebook. As a result, RiaRob gets a free autographed copy of the book. The little girl inside of me is dancing right now.

5:00 p.m. The guests start rolling in. While Victorious Living contributor (and best friend) Joy Turner starts the ball rolling in trying to get my book autographed.

5:15 p.m. I am greeted by the lovely Precilla Spencer, mom to contributing author Joy Turner. Spencer is so pretty that she doesn’t look like anyone’s mother. Mama P still has it.

5:25 p.m. Just finished chatting with Theresa Forrest, publicist to Christine Pembleton, one of Victorious’ contributing authors and author of Lord, I Am Ready to Be A Wife. Check out www.readytobeawife.com

Event Planner Tywana Tyler and Contribtuing Writer Joy Turner

5:42 p.m. My good friend, and event planning maven, Tywana Tyler just arrived. It is celebration time now. The trifecta is now complete.  Let’s hope we don’t cause too much trouble. Giggle…

5:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. Take more pictures and grab a card from the official photographer, who is straight working the room as a only a pro can! Jeff Martin, Aesthetic Elevation sees you. Love it when professionals are doing their thing…

6:25 p.m. Cheryl Pullins announces that some of the authors will read excerpts from the book. Ok, RiaRob!! DO NOT CRY!!! It proves that one has to stay ever faithful when the enemy is ever busy. From surgery, to diagnoses, to spiritual warfare, these women have walked through perpetual hell. And yet here they stand. I am in awe. Humbling spiritual awe. The Most High is so in the midst. You can literally hear two ants whispering. Testimony is an  awesome tool to change lives.

6:45 p.m. The authors are led in a “Victorious” chant. I’m digging the two-step and with fervor and affirmation, “I’m a victory girl, ay ay!!!! I’m anointed and appointed.” RiaRob is not mad at you!!!

6:46 p.m. – 6:55.m. The love continued to overtake the room. Authors continue to sign my book. I am absolutely loving this. This is WAY better than a book signing at a bookstore. Do I giggle in sheer delight now or maintain my composure? Decisions, decisions, decisions…

6:55 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Books are raffled off to guests with the winning ticket.

7:00 p.m. – 7:25 p.m. Having a Holy Ghost good time is NEVER a bad thing. The Most High continues to flow through a room full of well wishers, as brothers and sisters in Christ continue to peruse through the book.

7:28 p.m. Cheryl Pullins and Jamar Suber are presented with a token of love form the authors of Victorious Living. Posters autographed by the authors.

7:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. RiaRob takes a small breather and delights in a few refreshments. Just taking in the scene. I am watching from afar as Joy is fellowshipping with her fellow authors. I then realize that the weekend is winding down even though we are in the midst of it. Many of the authors will be departing tomorrow to return home. The huddles are countless. So many sisters reaching out to one another. Knowing that this time of fellowship is short lived. I catch up with Cheryl Pullins, who has finally sat down.
